Meet the team

PostHog works in small teams. The Data Warehouse team is responsible for building the data warehouse.

  While in college I helped cofound a social dining platform. I spent two years trying to get strangers to cook and dine with each other. In reality, it turned into a 2 year stint of teach yourself as much mobile development as you can while simultaneously trying to build a usable platform. My cofounders and I had our fair share of contemplating dropping out of school and becoming a unicorn in 5 years—it didn't work out.

  I currently am the team lead for PostHog's Data warehouse product. I've previously been a part of building out the initial product analytics suite and feature flagging product.

  To end with some obligatory "I dO MoRE ThAN COdE" details: I enjoy snowboarding and skiing and I'm currently trying to cycle more. I've also taken a sudden interest in making my own clothes. Ambitions subject to change as always though.

  I am terrible at talking about myself, so here is what I thought about putting here and why I didn't:

  • A short summary of basic facts about myself (age, place of birth, etc...).
    • Rejected because: Opens up the door to biases (but doesn't everything, even this very question?).
  • My life story.
    • Rejected because: Both past achievements and failures are only as valuable as their signal power to predict the future. More often than not, they can't.
  • A joke.
    • Rejected because: I don't know any, and it's not worth it to spend resources asking AI for one.
  • My job description.
    • Rejected because: I write code in a start-up; my job description means very little beyond that, and I enjoy that.
  • My personal interests.
    • Rejected because: My head is in work mode and can't think about my interests. The short summary is computer stuff, games (board and video), and lifting weights.
  • Some permutation of all or some of the above.
    • Rejected because: n! possible options depending on sample size.

  I started coding as a kid, stemming from taking apart computers and occasionally being successful when putting them back together. Moved to London to attend university and consequently entered the world of start-ups - mostly marketplaces, from small to large.

  Outside of tech, you can usually find me snowboarding the French alps in the winter, and cycling the Spanish mountains in the summer.

  I got into software somewhat unexpectedly when I was at university studying engineering. During my first software engineering class I realised that there was something about solving problems and writing code that just seemed to click with me (which is a good thing, as I have no idea what I would have done otherwise)!

  Since then, I've worked at a number of companies, both large and small (though massively preferring the latter) in a variety of different industries. I am not too tied to one particularly technology; the problems being solved and the team I am working with are far more important to me. I love being in an environment where I am surrounded by talented, passionate and kind people, and a healthy company culture, all of which brought me to PostHog 🙂

  I have been lucky to live in several places across the world, but am currently based in the beautiful city of Bath.

  In my free time I like playing golf ⛳️, listening to music 🎧, gardening 🌻 and working on side projects 👨‍💻 (the emphasis here is on ‘like’ as I actually spend most of my time trying to keep my son entertained).
